Siarhei Kavalioy is an elite saber coach with international credentials spanning three continents. A Belarusian National Champion and decorated competitor, he has coached students to Olympic qualification, World Championship medals, Pan-American Championship gold medals, and multiple USA national championships in both the veteran and junior divisions. With a master's degree in physical culture from Belarusian State University of Physical Culture and 18 years of coaching experience in Brazil, as well as nearly a decade of coaching in Columbus, Coach Kavalioy combines a world-class competitive background with a proven ability to develop champions at every level.

Dmitri Lapkes is a four-time Olympian, placing fourth at the Athens 2004 Games, a more than 20-time Belarusian national champion, and a World Cup and Grand Prix medalist with multiple podium finishes, including four golds. He also competed as part of Belarus’s World Cup sabre teams from 1997 to 2011, contributing to a team silver medal at the 2011 World Fencing Championships. Since joining the Ohio State University coaching staff in 2019, Coach Lapkes has built championship programs, winning the Midwest Fencing Conference title (2019) and multiple Central Collegiate Fencing Conference championships (2021-2025). Holding a master's degree in physical culture from Belarusian State University of Physical Culture, he combines Olympic-level competitive experience with championship program-building expertise.

Raul Arías, an Ecuadorian National Champion who has earned over 20 medals in tournaments across the Americas and Caribbean, is an accomplished sabre coach with more than 25 years of experience developing athletes in Ecuador and the United States. He served as captain of Ecuador's national sabre team during his competitive career from 1991 to 2009. In 2015, he was designated Ecuador's national team head coach and, during that period, also led one of his private club youth students to a Pan American bronze medal. Coach Arías relocated to Columbus, Ohio, in 2016, where he continued cultivating elite athletes, including coaching a U.S. parafencer to capture gold at the 2019 National Paralympic Sabre Championships. He remains an active consultant imparting

Doug Findlay is a distinguished foil coach with a rare combination of NCAA competitive experience, Olympic-level refereeing credentials, and proven championship-level athlete development. During his student tenure at Ohio State University, he was a two-time NCAA qualifier, a Big Ten Medal of Honor finalist, and earned a USA Div1A national championship title. Coach Findlay was selected as the U.S. referee for three Olympic Games (Beijing, London, Rio) and was named the "Best Foil Referee in the World" by the Fédération Internationale d'Escrime. Since 2012, he has focused on coaching, developing athletes who have earned over fifty national medals and advanced to major NCAA programs. With Prévôt de Fleuret certification from the United States Fencing Coaches Association, Coach Findlay brings Olympic-standard expertise to foil coaching and athlete development.

Kaleb Myers is an accomplished sabre competitor and coach, combining over fifteen years of competitive fencing and more than four years developing athletes. A top regional fencer in his youth, he earned multiple #1 regional rankings, top-eight national finishes, and two gold medals at the Arnold Classic. Coach Myers received comprehensive training from world-class masters, including three-time Olympic gold medalist Vladimir Nazlymov and former Belarusian National Champion Alexander Sourmito. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University, he began his coaching in Florida at ALLE Fencing Club under renowned coach Alexander Lepenshinski and continues to coach while actively competing, assisting at the 2024 USA Fencing National Championships and earning himself a top-32 national finish. He currently serves as sabre coach for Upper Arlington High School Fencing Club, emphasizing athlete development and youth mentorship.

Conal Orem is a developing foil coach and long-time fencer, bringing over sixteen years of fencing experience and three years of coaching to athlete development. He trained under internationally and nationally accomplished coaches, including a Columbian National Olympic contender, a multi-time Hungarian national champion, and a USA Div1A national champion with NCAA qualifier credentials. Progressing from early local success to consistent regional and national competition, Coach Conal earned notable results including multi top-eight finishes at regional events, silver at the Ohio High School Championships (2017), and gold at the Arnold Classic (2018). He continues to fence recreationally while coaching youth foil, emphasizing strong technical foundations, critical thinking, and resilience. Coach Conal focuses on creating a positive, engaging environment that respects fencing traditions while helping each athlete grow both on and off the strip.

Teena Myers, Director of Operations/Member Services, brings nearly four years of dedicated fencing club management experience to the role. She has been involved in the sport for more than 15 years, first as a fencing parent deeply engaged in her son’s progression from an accomplished USA Fencing national competitor to a respected fencing coach. Professionally, Teena spent over 28 years serving as Vice President at a leading global financial services firm, with expertise in Learning & Development, Regulatory Compliance, and Human Resources. At the club, she provides comprehensive operational leadership and administrative support to the coaching team, overseeing scheduling, financial operations, communications, and tournament planning. Teena also plays a key role in onboarding new students, helping parents navigate the complexities of the sport while fostering a welcoming, organized, and engaging club community.

Terry Amrine, Club Armorer Extrodinare, has been involved in fencing since 1990, starting with a beginner class at Ohio State University led by Ron Weaver, a former U.S. Olympic team fencing competitor and coach. Terry later became co-owner of Dublin Sport Fencing Center, where he taught beginner classes, competed actively, and developed his expertise as an armorer. Terry is a US Fencing Coaches Association Level 1 certified coach and a rated referee in all three weapons (sabre, foil, and épée). An integral part of the club team, he ensures members’ weapons are repaired promptly to keep everyone fencing. Terry’s technical skills, deep understanding of the sport and his dedication to supporting fencers makes him indispensable to the club.
